    00:35Worth knowing

    Getting a good result

    Why videos end up sideways

A phone records its sensor's picture and adds a note saying which way up the phone was held. Most players read the note. Some editors, websites and older players ignore it, and the video appears on its side. This tool turns the picture itself, so there is no note to ignore.

Turning a landscape video does not make it vertical

Rotating by 90 degrees puts the horizon on its side. To make a landscape recording fill a vertical frame, use the cropper or the resizer instead.

    00:40Questions

    Video rotator: common questions

    Does rotating lose quality?

No. This tool turns in quarter turns only.

How long can the video be?

Up to 5 minutes and 100 MB.

How do I mirror a video instead?

    Use the video flipper.
