The SRT and WebVTT files are built from the timing of each word. Each caption is at most two lines of 42 characters, breaks at the end of a sentence or at a pause, and stays on screen long enough to read. Those are the limits professional subtitling guides use, so the file is ready for a video without reflowing.
Alongside the words you get the speaking pace in words a minute, the number of pauses longer than 0.7 seconds with their total length, and a count of ums and uhs. That is a quick measure of how much tighter an edit could make it.
Names, brand names, numbers and words that sound alike are the usual errors, and they are worse with background noise, music or people talking over each other. Read the transcript against the recording before you publish it.

Clear speech from one person close to a microphone comes out with few errors. Accuracy drops with noise, accents the model heard less of, and crosstalk. Treat it as a first draft.
