How to merge two subtitle files

Getting a good result

Joining two parts

When two videos are joined into one, the captions of the second part have to start where the first video ends. Type that time and every caption in the second file is moved by it. It is filled in for you with the end of the last caption in the first file; set it to the first video's real length if that is later.

Two languages at once

For bilingual captions, the tool matches each caption in the first file with the one in the second that overlaps it in time, and stacks them on two lines. Captions with no partner are kept on their own, and you are told how many. This works best when both files were timed to the same video.
