Getting a good result

Pace you can keep up with

The scroll is tied to words, not pixels: at 150 words a minute, a 300-word script takes exactly two minutes whatever the text size or screen. Read your script once with the speaking time calculator's pace measurer to find your own number.

Looking at the lens

Put the reading device directly under or over the camera, and as far away as you can still read comfortably. The further the text is from your eyes, the less they move from side to side as you read.

With teleprompter glass

A teleprompter rig reflects a tablet off angled glass in front of the lens. Turn on Mirror so the reflection reads the right way round, and you read straight into the camera.
