    Getting a good result

    No quality loss

    For H.264 and HEVC video in an MP4, MOV, M4V, MKV or 3GP file, the picture is copied bit for bit and only the audio track is left out. That takes a second or two even for a 60-minute recording. Older formats such as AVI and WMV are re-encoded to MP4, up to 5 minutes.

    Muted is not the same as silent

    Turning the volume down in an app leaves the sound in the file, and anyone can turn it back up. This tool removes the track, so background conversations, music or a phone call caught on a recording are gone from the copy you share.

    Can the sound be recovered from the muted file?

    No. The audio track is not in the file. Keep your original if you might need the sound later.

    Can I mute only part of the video?

    Not with this tool. It removes the whole track.

    How do I add different sound afterwards?
