How to add a logo to a video

Getting a good result

Size and placement that look deliberate

A corner logo reads as a mark at 10 to 15 percent of the frame width and as a banner above 25. Keep it away from the bottom strip on vertical video, where platforms draw the caption and buttons over your picture. Top right is the usual safe corner.

Logo or watermark

For a brand mark, full opacity in a corner. For a watermark that discourages reuse, 30 to 50 percent opacity nearer the center, where it cannot be cropped out without losing the subject.

Why PNG

A JPEG has no transparency, so a JPEG logo arrives inside a white or black rectangle. Export the logo as a PNG with a transparent background and only its shape appears.
