File sizes are in megabytes; connection speeds are in megabits. There are eight bits in a byte, so a 20 megabit connection moves 2.5 megabytes a second. A 2 GB file is 16,000 megabits: 800 seconds at 20 Mbps, a little over 13 minutes.
Home connections are sold on their download speed, and upload is usually much slower. Run a speed test and read the upload line. That is the number that decides how long sending a file takes.
