A brightness of +0.10 and a contrast of 1.10 is a visible improvement on most indoor footage. Past +0.20 the dark areas turn grey and grainy, because the camera never recorded detail there; brightening only reveals the noise.
Fix a dark, flat or washed-out video with brightness, contrast and saturation sliders.
Files up to 100 MB. This tool re-encodes the picture, so it takes videos up to 5 minutes long.
Your file is deleted from our server as soon as the result is made, and the result 15 minutes later.
Add your file to begin. The result shows here.
Studio does the rest of the edit: retakes and pauses out, captions in, clips made.
The Studio free plan takes recordings up to 2 GB and edits the whole thing: retakes and pauses out, captions in.

Set brightness until faces look right, then raise contrast a little to bring back depth, then touch color strength last. Skin turns orange quickly above 1.3.
Blown-out windows and pure black shadows hold no detail to recover. A second light or a seat facing the window fixes those at the source.
The adjustment covers the whole video. Split the video, adjust the part, then join the pieces.
Dark footage is noisy, and brightening shows the noise. Use a smaller lift.
Closely. The preview is drawn by your browser and the result by our encoder, so expect a slight difference in strong settings.
Up to 5 minutes and 100 MB.
Make a video file smaller: pick a quality level or name the size in megabytes it has to fit under.
Turn a color video into black and white, high-contrast black and white, or sepia.
Cut a video down to the part you want. Drag the start and end on a preview, then download the section.
Burn an SRT or WebVTT caption file into a video so the captions show on every platform.
